Yesterday I took on the leader role in our local Bike Week bike ride. It all set off from Humphrey Perkins School, Barrow On Soar and there were loads of folk about! there was even a barbeque! The point of this post is that I had 34 riders on the 10 mile ride and within a mile I had 14, 11 - 14 year olds on MTB's hairing down the road! we got back in around 40 minutes, which was pretty good if you ask me. What I want to know is - who do we contact at BC to tap into this hive of interest? - I've done my bit in the past, but talking to the lads, they'd love to have more rides like yesterday...
