I'll presume i'll it's going to start on time and get up early. It's 3.5 degrees C and wet at the moment. |

Taking bets on a DNS |
A high probability, I should think |
My clubmate who is riding is supposed to be going out there with him, so he better not DNS... Mind you I have been phoned today to ask if I had Stuart's mobile number cos he isn't answering his land line!
Paul |
Stuart has got a cold so will be DNS. |

At about three quaters distance of a shortened course (lots of ice on the road) Hutchinson was 1min 50sec up on Mike Broadwith, then another 10 seconds back to Carl Saint who looked like he had had an off, then another 1min 30sec back to Jon Hunt then another 46 seconds back to Ramsbottom in 5th. I wonder if Saint can get 11 seconds back on Mike over the last 6 or 7 miles. His bike seemed to be working ok.
£350 for 1st, £200 for 2nd, £125 for 3rd, £100 for 4th and £75 for 5th. I wish they would move this event to later in the year.
Only about 32 started out of 51, no Gary K, no Stoo Swawcross and no Chris Birch.
Anyone got the final result? |

1st Hutch won by over 2 minutes
=2nd Danny Axford + Carl Saint
4th Mike Broadwith (about 45 secs down on second)
Me about 16th.
Not sure about the rest. Too tired to write anything down. |

I wonder what they do for = 2nd, split the £200 with £100 each and give 3rd £125? Or give them £162:50 each and the solo 3rd gets the money for 4th? |

It's a smart combination but takes some keeping clean. We leave the Go faster part to the riders. |

Winter overprep, it's well known on the continent. That's why i go out drinking from November to Feb and start my base in March, start to race in May and pack up in September, usually with a month off in the middle to stop burn-out. |

Yeah, it was a fantanstic ride by wheels (well done Mike), he flew past me just before brickendon. I 'think' Carl saint came off where the road sweeps left near bayford station, near must have been going near enough 30 mph, maybe more. I actually felt my back wheel slip a bit on that same corner |
