Will Jan take the required time out of Rasmussen in the final TT. For reference Jan was 1.08 down on LA in the 19k stg 1 and Rasmussen was 3.14. Difference of 2.06. |

yep, I think he'll do it. I thought he would even before yesterday's stage. What's interesting for me is what sort of time Basso does, it could be a good indicator of who's favourite for next year's tour... _________________

Yes that's exactly what I meant. Or I could have meant that if Basso can get close to Ullrich in the time trial, it would mean yet more progression on his part in his weakest area, and as he's proven himself to be a better climber than Ullrich, then he'd be my favourite for the tour next year.
Obviously this guesswork on my part shouldn't be taken too seriously by anyone, 'cos people change over a year, so don't go rushing to the bookies _________________

I like Ullrich, but I hope he doesn't take the podium spot. He hasn't made a single aggressive move all race, just followed LA for as long as possible and did a reasonable opening TT.
Whereas Magnusson at least went on a major offensive to get where he is. _________________ Rich |

What about all his attacks in the Pyrenees? He was still attacking 2 days ago. Rasmusson only went on the offensive before the real mountains, before he was considered a GC contender. They wont let him do that next year.
And who is Magnusson? _________________ http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=Matteomjb |

No, but I've learn't quite a lot about Boston type humour, and realise why our best comedians failed in the States. Americans are sardonic, ironic, and drole the same as we are but they put it in a different wordage format. If you look at their political cartoons, the captions are no different than would be written here. The only stand up comedian who could cut the mustard on both sides of the Atlantic without changing script was a New York Jewish comedian by the name of Jackie Mason. It's all good fun.
Irony is the temperature guage of thickness. _________________ 't Ros Beijaart.

I think Ulrich will do a better final TT now that he has recovered from his trip into the back seat of a car through the rear window.
But also Rams...... will also do a good ride spurred on by a podium place. |

Well, I thought Rasmussen might put up a bit more of a fight than that. Very bad luck.
Great ride from Ullrich: I think he really wanted to try and show Lance who was boss, but he couldn't do it. Armstrong just incredible. |

Anyone know how much dosh' Rassmussen has lost by dropping from 3rd to 8th in Final GC (assuming he doesn't drop any more in last Stage) |
Christ, don't make it even worse for the poor bloke, he's 7th not 8th! _________________ http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=Matteomjb |

There could be a fight for the bonus sprints tomorrow with only 2 seconds between 5th and 6th, and 6 seconds between 6th and 7th. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=Matteomjb |

Actually, that doesnt say the prize money, although the title of it assumes it does. _________________ http://www.facebook.com/MikeVaughanCyc
