Following the thread regarding David Millar coming back to racing next year, is he forgiven?
Sorry to reopen the debate, but I, like alot of you supported Millar before the epo revaltions came about and felt let down, especially after jumping up and down in histerics when he won the TT worlds.
But I think 2006 should be a clean slate for millar, hes done the crime and paid the price, now from 2006 lets get behind him and hopefully he will be back to his *CENSORED* free best - forgiven but not forgotten.
Hopefully he's used the enforced lay off to transform him into a world beating rider, who is now capable of challenging for the TDF.
Just imagine if he won the tour in 2006? i know he probably will not, but just sit back and think what if?

I wouldn't say forgiven, as I never regarded what he did as a huge crime anyway, seems they all were at it,

But alamc says "when you consider his best performances were done under the influence, it sounds like they weren't good performances . They were , if everyone is under the influence, everyone is equal Smile

Allegedly.

We only have his word for that. No evidence to prove it.

I think I can understand your point, but, are you suggesting there is no point having *CENSORED* tests/suspensions because "they are all at it" Shocked

No, the point is, he has not hurt anyone, so needs not to be forgiven.
*CENSORED*, he lost his job and income for 2 years.

Blimey, we all do illegal things, like speeding or whatever. I'm sure we don't ask for forgiveness everytime.

Dave, did wrong in sporting terms. No one died. *CENSORED*, we don't even know if he really did it. If *you* hadd been locked up in a French Police cell for 7-days, you'd admit to anything. They ARE not not as civilised as blighty ...
