The Long Eaton chain gang used to split into a fast and a steady group (steady group often led by the late, and much missed, Sid Standard). Don't know if they still split as I haven't lived in the area for 10 years.

The leisure lakes bash is 6:45 tuesdays and thursdays, pretty steady at the minute, so anyone should be ok. Routes change when the clocks change and it will probably get a bit harder then.

Cheers Rodders, just had the OK today from the hospital to do some steady exercise so I may come and sit on the back if that's acceptable.

Though whether steady feels steady after the best part of 3 months off is another matter!

My instrumentation flightdeck (Rodders ! Rolling Eyes ) tells me that current overall average speed is between 20-21 however we haven't been heading to the hills for a while due to the poor weather conditions, this route is generally a bit slower. But not much - roll on Summer...

Hope to see you and the boys, Steve for a ride soon. Not very fit at the moment so wouldn't be able to stay on. Can just about manage 18mph averages at the minute, and LE chaingangs are much quicker than that!!

Hey Bob look forward to your return. Have you been riding that fixed all Winter ? I've never seen legs rotating so fast on the thrash down the A52. See ya soon. I've got a Schwinn too - just waiting for some 10 gear.

Where were you on Tuesday, StevieB? The "its still at Tris's" excuse will not wash much longer...

Nige you shame me into coming out on a cold and frosty night and only three other turn up, terrible. Good job the later group enjoys a bit of company. What's happening to you ? Shocked , from your avater you seem to have grown another two feet or something since I last saw you. Been down the vet's, I noticed your nose was particularly shiney last night ...
