Ray - if you really are struggling with this new rule then take it up with BC i'm sure there will be somebody there who can put it in simple English for you.

Scunthorpe is in Lincolnshire, the east mids is Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire (plus one or two extra clubs for different reasons), hence Scunthorpe is in the East Mids.

Geographically and administratively(as far as Govt are concerned), the East Midlands is the 5 counties of Lincolnshire, Notts, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Northants. Scunthorpe is in Lincolnshire and therefore in the East Midlands.

I'm glad everyone now knows where Scunnie is. Laughing

Hope the race goes off OK on Sunday. I guess it will be tough if it's windy.

I was gooing to ride my divs at home, but my lift fell through, so I'd like to ride the E.mids divs now. I'm not either paying £20 or risking not getting a ride at all. Your loss.

Ooooooh! Sounds like you been a silly boy and you've got monk on! Spend your £20 on a pizza instead, you have more chance of getting a ride to the shop for a pizza than riding the road race. Your gain. HEEEEEEEeeeee:D

Im with you and a lot of other people on that matter David, 240 mile round trip from here and I'm guessing that would be about the same for you.

Its why I'm riding West mids on Sunday (I've been approved for it thank god)

I think it is in pretty simple english already. The rule says ""represent the affiliated Club of that establishment during term time" ;which is nothing whatever to do with the new rules for Division Championships. The whole idea of the new Div Champs rules is that people ride depending on where they live not which club they represent. Except for riders in Lincolnshire who have a trophy for which members of Lincolnshire clubs are eligible.

Scotter village is 55 miles from Nottm, so about 70 from Loughborough, so hardly a 240 mile round trip!

Why would someone living in *CENSORED* ride the E mids divs anyway?

Race starts 10.30, too many hits on Scunthorpe Poly website, will have to pay some more money to upgrade server contract. Sad

So what about if you work and reside in another area during the week?

it's nearer to *CENSORED* than scunthorpe
you have your own trophy any way, best of both worlds spring's to mind. you should ride for one or the other but at least a real east mids rider won it today
and by the way 118 mile's from mine to scotter unless i went through gated roads and it wanted to spend twice as long on the road

Ashfield in green looks like Andrew Stuart. Glad I didn't bother looking at the state of that lot.
