Twice.
A random one after a Ras stage, and for winning an U23 Series race.

Never been tested at a race, although I have seen others being taken away for testing.
But have been tested 4 times in the past 2 years at work _________________ Murphy's Third Atmospheric Law of Bike Commuting is that the headwind you encounter on the way to work will shift 180 degrees in direction about 10 minutes before you decide to home. |

after the campionato de veneto (venice area divs) when i was a junior i think i was tested instead of my teammate who i found out at the end of the season had been taking amphetamines all season, it never twigged at the time that the tester called me fabio as my italian was pretty rubbish at the time, back then we didnt have photos on licences (1990) |

Out of season testing, I was asked to give a sample when I was in the pub! _________________ When offered the choice between the path of Desire and the path of Virtue I chose the path marked Diversion.

I've been tested a few times at races and training sessions.
the funniest was at a round of the tandem sprint series at Scunthorpe and watching Martin Dainty run to his car in cycling shoes with number on his back & drive off leaving all his kit in the track centre when the *CENSORED* testers turned up. I was tested and it was the classic - couldn't go, drank loads , could finally pee and then had to wee at almost every sevice station on the way home |

I've been tested once too - at a time trial a decade or so ago...
Just a normal TT too, not a Nationals or anything. It was the North Middx & Herts CA 100 and they tested all the Zero numbers, both the top women riders and me - the only 5 number rider chosen. The person who had to tell me about it nearly ran me off the road a quarter mile past the finish and jumped out his car and thrust the paper at me ordering me to the testing centre (A nearby hotel)... I was all for lumping him one for running me off the road!
I'd done a crap ride that day too... must have been obvious I'd taken nothing!

After a 50 mile TT many years ago, a course based on the E72 I think, was completely de-hydrated made them wait for ages, then they only got a few drops. |

I'm frankly amazed at the numbers we have got here... 66 votes so far and nearly half of them say yes they have been tested???
Maybe that just shows that we really are tested more than most other sports... cos I'm pretty sure you ask the average sunday league footballer and you won't get a percentage anywhere near that...
I know many on here are a little bit higher up the scale than that, so should expect to be tested, but I'm still amazed it's as high as it is...

They're not allowed to do blood testing, which I think would be better as I could get down the pub quicker without having to hang around to p!ss. _________________ When offered the choice between the path of Desire and the path of Virtue I chose the path marked Diversion.
