How about a poll on winning races, perhaps this should be qualified as first senior race. |

Yeah, I wasn't going to count timetrials either (save that for another forum) |

If we're only allowed senior open roadraces, then it took me 10 years from riding my first at 16 to winning one this year aged 26.
I had won a few club timetrials (and hillclimbs) and junior/juvenile timetrials before that though. |

Started racing (TTs - does that count?) at 15. Turned senior in July. Had to wait till the following June to win a 3/J. And then 2 more years before the next win, a 2/3. Then won for the next 9 years until I packed up proper racing. _________________ Rich |

Dooh! I thought we were including club hill climbs with 13 entrants. If not I'm still waiting (can't honestly say I'm trying ). |

First senior road race win was in 2004. Except I was very, very drunk. |

Started racing in 82' and won my first and only road race in 2002 !!
Twenty years of slogging my guts but hey......it was a fantastic feeling to put that wheel over the line and then raise the arms.
Man, what a rush !!!! _________________ Wind - A cyclists natural training aid |

Ok so it'll be from your first ever race if you started out 19+ or your first race against seniors if you started out younger |

Never mind about winning races - I don't think I've ever won any points legitimately! If I get much worse I'll have to join the Shirley Road Club But I'm too young of course. |

Do time trials count? I once beat a load of coffin dodgers in a 5 mile TT, my finest hour (unless you count being called a fatboy by Sean Yates). _________________ Going out the back in style since 2002. |

If it took you an hour, how long did it take everyone else? _________________ http://www.facebook.com/MikeVaughanCyc

Me too, given that this is just for Senior racing.
My number of races entered is 'zero', what's yours? _________________ "For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong." H. L. Mencken
