Ullrich will put 2 minutes into Basso in the TT's.

Basso will put 2 minutes into Ullrich in the mountains.

I think Ballrich will win.

Jan will have it, but only just, as the Giro will ultimately show in Ivan's legs. More than happy for Ivan to bag a few tours after Jan retires as Basso is such a good rider.

One thing for sure, it will an interesting and unpredictable race now that the arrogant Texan and his one-trick, one-race per year roadshow has disappeared. Discovery will do nothing this year. The Tour in the Armstrong era became boring and predictable - even though Lance was impressive -but when Big George wins an HC climb stage! That's like Rasmussen winning Paris Roubaix!

My mate at works fancies his chances cos he eats 2 pies and a cake every lunch time and enjoys the odd happy *CENSORED* on a night out and he reckons no one who wears a cravate (Basso) can be considered a real bloke. So he just needs a berth in a Tour team and he's the man. Not sure when he last road a bike mind you but sure he'll be fine once he has sussed out what to do.

I'm going for Basso. I think that he wants it more than Jan and I rate Riis as a manager.

I can remember hearing that Jan didn't turn up when Telecom booked time in a windtunnel as he said the TT was not won by a few seconds. That is true, but I couldn't help thinking that he also let other things go because they were just a few seconds.

Mind you I can't wait for the start.

Whenever I hear this all I can think of is Mr 60%...

Why not, isnt being a top pro tour rider in the world good enough then! Given how long he has been at the level he is (longer than most in the TDF peleton it isnt really surprising he slipped up a few times. i reckon his drink driving and recreational *CENSORED* demeanors add to his humilty.

Any way he is still gonna win the tour!
