42x20 or sports science?
I'm still undecided, but will try it.

Are you with the old school method or modern sports science?

I'll support it, but my winter's training (as soon as I'm healthy again) will consist mainly of 3 hour weekday afternoon rides, covering about 55 miles each.

For those with time, and not much clue about training (which implies newbies) , it's great.

Not enough options there. I will ride what ever gear at roughly 100rpm (on the flat) at 55 to 75% FTP. I tend to average about 92rpm over a complete ride at a naturally selected cadence on endurance rides.
