Do you think that composite teams (made up from riders that are first claim members of different cycling clubs) should be allowed to race in the Team Pursuit / Team Sprint events in the National Championships? |

Let's see if Willi's rationale holds up under scrutiny of statistics.
The question has been re-worded to make it less leading, so please vote and add your REAL name and who you represent, just for Willi's sake!

I voted no and my name is Karen Jane Wyld. I've not ridden the Nationals but I have raced on the track and I have been a member of a BC Commission in the past. |

Graeme Steen, City Of Edinburgh RC.
Voted NO
We were 4th in the team sprint this year.
I dont have a problem with super teams like team Athena or SIS but not the compsite teams. _________________ G. |

Richard Hare, Heron Cyclesport. Voted No.
Before anyone reminds me I haven't ridden a track for 12 years, that's irrelevant. If as a group of riders one of your season's objectives requires you to be in a team, then form the necessary team! Or give up that objective. Hence I'm in a small road team with similar minded individuals. _________________ Rich |

However in your favour you are looking fitter than last year even if the recent hair style is a little on the bizarre side |

I voted "not fussed".
I can understand the arguments against Composite Teams.
However, as I posted before, it was a real pleasure to see World Class teams in action. |

I can appreciate this viewpoint as I always enjoy watching the world class riders perform.
All I would add is that I assume (perhaps wrongly) you did not enter expecting to win a medal?
I think it's important to imagine how you'd feel about the situation had your team targeted and trained specifically to win a medal in that event. _________________ Blame me for robbing Peter but don't you blame Paul |

We need to keep clubs and teams together, not disband and everyone ride for themselves.....

"Not fussed"
I'm not likely to medal with my team or in a composite, so it doesn't really matter who I get beaten by so long as I see some good fast racing.
