Do you fancy explaining your freedom of speech argument to the judge who imposed the court order banning TB and TD from arguing on internet forums?

I like Tony (most of the time, could live without the soap opera commentary ) and think VR is the poorer for his abscence. But if he can't stop arguing with TD then what is admin to do?  |

At the end of the day, Veloriders will not be penalised by the courts. The order was made against Tony Bell and Terrance Dolan. Dolan posted defamatory remarks about Tony and the court case, Tony rightly or wrongly responded, as any human with decency and the need to protect their name would do. The only times Dolan ever posts on here is to have a go at people. Another VR was his target to start with that night - via pm, he then progressed on to Tony.

If Tony is permanently banned, I'll leave of my own accord. I know where the door is. I hope it doesn't come to that though, as we both have lots of friends on here and we have lots of fun on here too. VR is a great site and neither of us want to leave.

What a load of swollocks. VR didn't 'allow' them to have an argument on here. It's no different to if TB and TD were to bump into each other in a pub and have the same argument. Would the pub landlord be pulled up by the man in the wig? Course not.

VR could be loyal to it's active members. Tony has promoted VR at club dinners all over the country, and in Cycling Weekly regularly. Tony is a popular character on here, Dolan appears once in a blue moon usually fuelled up and looking for trouble. It's easy to see who should be banned.
