Roaster Do you mean to say you won't be giving it the large one and taking the coverted prize of the jolly man in wellies sign?
I would put a large sum on you taking it this year in fact I'll buy you an ale when you do. |

Having never been beaten to the Skeggy sign, my advice to anyone with their eyes on this prize, is to use the tactic tried on the very first Skeggy run by Bunny.
Insert one 8 foot long Bullrush beneath the saddle held in place with a toe strap. ( this stops the likelyhood of anyone taking shelter on your wheel). Luckily for me I was strong enough to just get by though I had a severe lashing in the process.
Kingy should remember this |

WAs that the year Pete Curtis did twice the distance as the rest of us because we kept sending him the wrong way.
Also the infamous 'PINEAPPLE CUBE' incident |

I don't remember the wheelchair, so I guess that would be a later trip, in the 90's. Think my last Skeggy run was 89 |

I got a second once, Shed got it that year and I went by Normski with about three feet to go.......nice.
Maybe Norm will do a 160km solo effort?
