Does this course suit an untrained fat bloke with no bike handling skills? |

There's a long fast straight along through the finish, then mainly downhill from the far turn at the A46, to then climb back up through Walton and drop quickly to climb back to the main finish road again. If you get that?
It's rolling at best and I guess the better riders will be on the big ring all the way round. Good allround circuit if you want my opinion. |

UPDATE:
The event is open to all Categories - E 1 2 3 4 W Jnr.
Please note that 1st year Juniors cannot enter as the race distance exceeds the maximum race distance permitted to 1st year Juniors.
If we do get any Women enter, they will be riding with the men. |
Well there's optimism for you _________________ 'You are a free woman. You will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, de-briefed (that you should be so lucky ) or numbered. Your life is your own.' |

Ok Elaina, the distance is 135k . the max for 1st year juniors is 120k so you and the bcf rules say.
Why is the Junior tour of Sussex 25th May, 130k which any junior can enter 1,2,3,4, 1st year or not |

The difference is very clear, the regional road race is a National B event open to senior Elites. It is specifically to National B events that the maximum distance for 1st year juniors applies.
The Junior tour of Sussex is only open to Juniors, it falls outside the usual race category system and, as such, the distance restriction on National B events doesn't apply. Significantly, Senior Elites cannot ride it.
Some may argue that it's perfectly acceptable to stick a 16 year old in an 85+mile race against professional athletes in their mid 20s. BC rules don't view that as acceptable. |

There appears to be some contradictory information about this event. BC list it as being open to 4th cats (as does this forum) but the events list on this forum Lists it as being E,1,2,3 only. The events list also states it's entry on the day only whereas another thread on here (By Elaina) says to send cheques to her.
Could somebody clear this up for me please as i'm considering entering this (if I can). |

Hi Gary,
As the organiser of the event I can tell you that the event is open to E 1 2 3 4 and we are accepting postal entries and entries on the day.

Is it the old Walton on the Wolds circuit that was used years ago (like when I was a junior?)
If so I might even enter for a laugh. _________________ Blame me for robbing Peter but don't you blame Paul |
