out of interest, does anyone know if elton cafe is still open or has it shut down?
if you ask me it all went down hill when they stopped making home made bread to go with the soup

It was due to be closing down in October. Not heard anything else.

| It's still open. They have decided to stay open until next October 2009 at least, then reconsider again then. |

That would be shame if it closes, its a little to close to home for us so we dont use its as much now.
Cant be due to lack of trade, its always chocka when Ive been. |

I love Elton Cafe. Mushrooms on toast is my favourite. I spoke to the lady in the summer and she said they were selling up. A few months later I asked the fella how the sale was going and he said..... 'I know who you've been speaking to, ignore her. The only way I will ever be leaving here is in a box.'  Who knows whats going on up there

We booked a random b&b for a weekend, Turneds out elton guest house IS elton cafe......I honestly didn't know:-)
I hope it's there for next year... |
