There are loads of Carbon Road wheels available via ebay, but very few Carbon Track wheels. I appreciate that a road wheel requires a cassettes/brakes etc, but is there a way of converting a road wheel into a track wheel?

Fronts easy just change the skewer.

Rear I guess a little more difficult?

Track frames have narrower spacing than road frames and a cassette hub clearly wouldnt be much use. Some wheels can be converted to fixed rear from cassette with the appropriate kit though in my experience you get fed up of the faff if you do it regularly and buy different wheels.

Use an allen key skewer instead of the QR.
