Imagine what the quality of the field would have been like if this was held in June/July?
PS Anyone know why Daniel Shand DNS considering he was one of the favourites?

in all honesty who would have beaten Fleeman on a short climb like that? given the power numbers he was talking about in the comic he must have been putting out something like 8-9W/kg for over 3 minutes which is mightily impressive Cool

8.5 ish?

550 devided by 64 = 8.6

Thought I might do 600 to be honest but I had bad legs today (joke)

Mighty impressive Dan - I managed about 6.4 W/kg. Even if I lost 9kg to weigh in at your weight I'd have not been close!

Easier for you to lose 4kg and maintain the same power than a clown like me to lose 10kg and up my power by 17% Laughing

Is hill climbing not painful enough without the bagpiper halfway up the hill. Was that an incentive to ride faster to get out of earshot?

i nearly laughed as i was approaching the finish! the comentator bloke was saying something along the lines of * i dont know what this riders name is but his surname is arnold!* then he read it out * P N U T* then he figured it out Laughing

i couldnt even get my car door open it was that windy at the HQ when i got back.... must have been about 1.30pm then......
