The worlds TT only exists to give Fab a chance to wear something other than rainbows in a TT Laughing

Awesome. Full victory salute for the last few hundred metres like it was a solo breakaway.

He will win the roadrace on Sunday as well.

You fools , the car would be in the position as told by the commissaries. Evil or Very Mad

Do you think Team GB would make such a basic error Question ,

It probably didn't help that Brad chucked his bike across half the road (and the tv motorbike stopped across the other half of the road) so none of the cars behind could get past. Rolling Eyes

But setting the field at only 1 minute intervals distorted the runners-up race with too many people getting caught on roads which were quite narrow in places.

Well, back to the original OP, McCann came 11th overall, and I think he did start too slow, at the first time check he was in 38th position, then moved up to 18th, 13th, 14th and finally 11th.

Wiggins positions at the various time checks were 7,6,6,6,4 and then 21, would he have moved up to 3rd, beating Tony Martin?

Like Larssons and possibly Wiggins, how much was McCann's pacing upped when he was caught?

He'd need to have finished within 3 secs of Larrson. If he had got over the hill with him he probably would have hung on.

Laurens ten Dam just compared Cancelarra to Bolts - which isn't far off the mark.

+1 Let's not forget that Contador rode after the wind changed, so had roughly a 40sec handicap over FC to contend with too.

I disagree, Bolt is the fastest man in the world in sports purest form.
That title is far greater than any other in my opinion

In what way? A final TT in a GT is in now way comparable with today. Bradley was clearly off top form and could still have got 3rd but more probably 4th.

BBC are saying the fault was with the electronic shift...

"And Wiggins - who was passed by both the top two riders - was well-placed to win bronze until a fault developed with the front derailleur of his bike on the final lap, affecting the electronic gear-change."

Oh dear the worst possible advert for Shimano but electronic in particular.
