The problem relates to the service provider. They claim we're so big that other sites on the shared server are crashing so they've suspended ours.

They're presently looking at a dedicated server package. In the meantime I'm looking elsewhere for a more reliable service.

http://www.streamline.net/ might be worth a look; I use them, but then my stuff is low volume so doesn't test their claims.

Thanks, I've been speaking with Streamline yesterday. They're certainly able to handle our 100Gb bandwidth per month requirement.

It is of course ironic that this should happen in a "Post Nob" world and when FMSL has gone back to work.....

Only lloydstsb they cut me off of. I don't understand the message there. It's like they don't mind me wasting my time and their money, as long as I am not too up to date with my personal banking.

Now I am getting:

Quote:
Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.
Apache/2.2.11 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at www.timetriallingforum.co.uk Port 80

I saw on Anglia Tonight that BT broadband services in the region were affected by vandalism/ theft of fibre optic cable in Hertz. . . .

The Bandwidth has NOT been exceeded, the Service Provider hasn't updated the booked amount for the upgrade paid for last week. I've just paid for even more bandwidth (NOT needed) in the hope it would free up the forum but to no avail.

Unlikely to be any change until their "Help"line opens tomorrow at 9am.

And the above is just a small part of the hassle we're getting from the "Service Provider" recently.
