best team in the country? Pinarello just signed Adrian Timmis to ride with Elliott and Winn... but then what about the olde worlde charm of PlanetX and then i suppose Pacific World ought to be here too as they've got a world champ in the team. So that's the question, who's going to wipe the floor with whom???

I think messrs Lovatt and Co are not going to find it so easy this year - with having more organised teams targetting prems it will certainly not be a one horse race this time round Laughing Laughing Laughing

Whilst witnessing the prima donna behaviour of a Team Alcan-Bianchi rider this afternoon I was tempted to add them to the poll.

But I'm not going to. Shocked .

Pacific Racing are mostly John Ibbotson and World U24 Triathlon Champ Stephen Bayliss. There are a couple of other guys i hadn't heard of as well but they're all "concentrating on Premiers as well as events in the South East".

Nothing personal, but they have had there own way for too long. Plus it might also bring some good individual performances to the fore for once.

I am unable to give examples at present, as the racing season has not really started yet. But as soon as it does I am sure that there will me many. I really can not see what is so confusing about what I wrote.

I just wondered what you meant by individual performances are you saying that we may see riders who aren't on one of the big teams coming to the fore???

The 'Northern Mafia' have been up there year in, year out for over a decade. Optimum Performance, Planet X etc - all the same nucleus. They were winning when there were a lot more 'big teams' around as well so I don't think they will be worried by Elliott and Timmis above anybody else (as much as I admire both of them for what they have acheived). I see no reason why the results will not be there this year.

It is just a shame that Wayne Randle cannot be back on the squad! Shocked
