Hi folks
I thought I should introduce myself personally, I am the new Regional Event Officer having taken over from Jenny Gretton just before Christmas.
As a reminder, or in case you are unaware, my role is to increase the quality and quantity of participation opportunities in Road, Track, Cyclo Cross, Mountain Biking, BMX and Cycle Speedway. This means supporting the people who make the sport happen in the region in a number of ways, including the following
Event Organisers: Setting up a new event or series; Registration and calendar fixing of events; Event equipment; Event promotion; Volunteers and Officials for your event; Getting access to existing or new facilities; Working out levy payments.
Volunteers and Officials: Volunteers and Officials training; Commissaire appointments; Clothing
Clubs: Guidance and support setting up new events; Promoting new and existing events; Inter-Regional competition; New members
I am gradually making contact with various clubs, organisers and officials across all the disciplines, if I have not yet been in touch or you have any ideas for potential venues/circuits, events, organisers or officials then feel free to get in touch.
I look forward to hearing from you. _________________ Karen Lifford
