It may be something to do with the conditions of an anti-social-behaviour-order I fear... or a bit more seriously - to get bums on saddles and get newcomers keep coming back on the clubruns - its easier to keep out of the peaks until everyone has reached a core fitness level - otherwise the rides would split-up on the climbs. The faster riders getting tired of waiting and the slower riders getting blown out of the back! This way -we get a decent (but steady) pace and everyone is happy at this early part of the year. Judging by the size of the turn-outs it looks to be working!!!!

The Mansfield Road Club Sunday rides start from The Mansfield Woodhouse Golf Club on Leeming Lane (A60) on the outskirts of Mansfield at 9am. Everyone is very welcome to come along - plenty of free car parking. The in depth route map is posted on The MRC facebook page - 45-50 miles - back for 12.30.. Big turn-out expected!

Thommo- Mr Flint is obviously more eloquent than me at giving you a reply. but the offer still stands you are more than welcome to join us and when the group reach a better level of fitness the Peaks might be an option. Is Elton cafe still going?
