Any results yet for the Mallory race on Thurs 21 APR? It really is incredible that BC take so long to post results. My other sport is Orienteering. Working out the result is vastly more complicated than a bike race and yet the result is usually on the web before you get home from the event and sometimes even at the event itself by WiFi.
PS: Orienteering events usually take place in a field or halfway up a mountain so they have additional technology hurdles to overcome. |

The length of time taken for any result to appear on the BC website is dependent on how quick the results are sent to BC. If the person doing the results hasn't sent them to BC it's hardly BC's fault that they aren't on the website.
Given that you aren't involved with organising Mallory or even support a rider at Mallory why the sarcastic interest anyway?
Oh, you might have also failed to realise that Friday was a bank holiday as was today and in between the two days was the weekend so even if they had been sent in on Thursday evening then they wouldn't be uploaded until tomorrow anyway. |

When I did results for Darley Moor, I always sent them to BC the same day. When Larry Hickmot was website contents editor they appeared on the BC site within minutes. Now if you send results in they either don't appear ever or might appear a week later if you are lucky.

My very sincere apologies. I didn't realise that you had to be involved in organising or support a rider to have an interest in results. And as for sarcastic interest, I'm not sure what you mean by this. I had intended my post as a direct , rather than sarcastic criticism of BC. Could you please explain where sarcasm is involved in this. I have been involved as a member of the Mallory Committee in the past; however, I have had to resign because the secretary was unable to spell the name of the venue of the AGM correctly.

Interesting, then that the Tour Doone Hame results have been posted up . I had not even noticed the Bank Holiday as my employer does not recognise Bank Holidays so that I have worked right through without a break. The British Orienteering weekend results are also posted even though British Orienteering is a much smaller and significantly less well funded organisation. |

Maybe BC had a reporter at the Tour Doone Hame who has direct editorial access to the website so can post results and reports. _________________ As Chris Carmichael would say in his training manual "What would Lance do?". Now we know! |

Come on Ray, read the thread through, what started as an informative post, has turned into the usual 'nit picking'.
Whilst sad in one way, quite funny in another. _________________ I'm not a pedestrian,a cyclist or a motorist,I'm just a human being. |

Mobile/wifi internet access and a password to add to BC website at a guess and they were there as it was a Premier event _________________ As Chris Carmichael would say in his training manual "What would Lance do?". Now we know! |
