Is there a reason why there is no midweek Darley league like Mallory?
It strikes me as it would be quite popular. _________________ Hoping the race organiser will give me a postcode to find the headquarters hidden in the wilderness.

I was thinking last night, there was about two thousand riders at Mallory last night and I guess Mallory caters for the Leicester, Derby, South and Central Notts, the South Midlands and East of the West Midlands. So in Darley's location it would cater for a more northern area than Mallory in the East Mids Division.
I don't know but apart from Motorbike Track Days probably in the daytime because of noise levels, Darley isn't doing much in the evenings?
2/3/4's, 90mins racing, Wednesday nights, 60 plus riders at £10 a go with no marshalls, just a handful of people needed. Surely a winner? _________________ Hoping the race organiser will give me a postcode to find the headquarters hidden in the wilderness.

Ashfield RC used to run Thursday evening races at Darley Moor. Unfortunately, they were not "quite popular". Lack of sufficient numbers of riders meant that the races were moved to Saturdays which have been much more successful. You are welcome to give it another try. Be aware, though, that Darley Moor, even in June and July, can experience Arctic conditions; [which can reduce the number of riders]. |

Fair point Ray, out of interest when was that?
Going of my experience this year rider numbers in the northwest appear up and I know that the shropshire and *CENSORED* league was oversubscribed. _________________ ' He's a Bit 'Ilkeston' that lad!!......' Spooky |
