I read a thread on the Braveheart Fund website forum about Scottish Cycling enforcing UCI regulations on time trial bikes for 2011. Seems an absolute farce to me.
Then at the TdF, the faffing around getting riders saddles totally horizontal to meet some new fangled moronic regulations just took the biscuit.
So, is now not the time that we say enough is enough and go back to standard bikes with drop handlebars for time trials? From pro right down to amateur. And metal spoked wheels only too.
It has occurred to me that a lot of the blazers probably have vested interest in the manufacturing companies, so would not want to put an end to the manufacturing of aerodynamic enhanced products month on month, year on year. |

That made me cringe. How do they justify that when saddles range from hammock like (Fizik), to bowed upwards (some of the flites i believe)................. beggars belief. |

Absolutely. If they're so pedantic about safety around aerodynamic advantages, to the most minute detail as saddles that are of all shapes and sizes, why not just go back to standard bikes and give us all peace! |

| If they were just consistent with rules and it did not just rely on the commissaire on the day it would be alright. There would still have to be rules for standard bikes to ensure they are "standard" and not recumbants or using aero advantages. |

It occurs to me that you have just libelled an awful lot of people. What a silly comment.
