180cm does not equal 6 ft. There are not 30 cm in a foot.
This tip goes out to Odge. _________________ World Masters Drive HillClimb For Taureans Category C Champion 2013.

http://www.roygardiner.com/gears.htm The BMI calculator bit allows you to use whatever units you like and will give Metric and Imperial in the answer. _________________ "For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong." H. L. Mencken

And when a woman's parking, a space about 8' wide looks narrower than a Renault Clio so help them in. _________________ I was being chased by a police dog last week, and made the mistake of trying to escape through a little tunnel, over a see-saw and through a hoop of fire. Yes; divided by 2.54 gives 70.86614, or five feet ten point eight seven inches. _________________ "For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong." H. L. Mencken

no, by convention.
Edit: just checked, and it is by definition, apparently.

I round down/up accordingly so 2.54 becomes 2.5. An example of rounding up is trying to turn 70.8 inches into 71 inches to prove that 70.8" = 5'11" when it actually doesn't. it's ever so slightly less. Looks like I'm not the only person who's approximating to make a point does it? _________________ "Veloriders - Sounds like a bunch of soccer holigans still watching reruns of Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter" |

Its all about resolution Richard, and Design ers like to ignor it as well, untill you insist.
The UCI could lean about it as well when setting minimum weight regualtions in a psuedo-technical document. _________________ www.kentonrc.co.uk |

no. wrong again.
The 'agreed standard' for rounding (as you would have learned at your parents great expense) is that anything with a 1-4 in the right hand digit is rounded down, a 5-9 is rounded up _________________ Straight Outta Compton |

ah, so I can round up to make someone the right height but can't round down to approximate the height? ok, thanks. _________________ "Veloriders - Sounds like a bunch of soccer holigans still watching reruns of Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter" |
