Definitely - once they set the route they should ride it unless it's dangerous. |

No way - it would have been just perguatory for the riders. Survival not racing. With the events is spain such suffering only makes it harder. That's when the temptation to take 'gear'must come into the equation. Let's keep our sport realistic. _________________ We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing - Tommy Lee |

If it had gone up the cyclo-cross bit,do you think Gadret might have taken a shock stage win _________________ I'm not a pedestrian,a cyclist or a motorist,I'm just a human being. |

From the close up I didn't think the so called "dirt road" looked that bad. In fact it wasn't far off our normal roads.
I'm also not convinced by the arguement regarding you could only get one car per team up there. How many do they want? Sport is about making decisions and judging risk. The main contenders could have had a car with them. Bad luck is part of sport. _________________ "It's not the cakes that are bad for you, it's the climbs." E. Merckx |

Was today the one the one with the so called ski jump ramp made of Gravel ..... ????????????
If so then yes they should have done it.... Would have been a great spectacle and may have forced the race in ways we might not have thout of.....
Let the so called hard men show how tough they really are.... Or did so many of them DS's cry off to the organisers threatening to pull their teams if they did not shorten it that it was a forced call...
Let events take their turn i say, and you might get a little more interest in our sport from tose outside of it...... |
