I rode to work today, and with appropriate clothing thought the temperature was about right _________________ John McClelland's victory in the motor paced event with Derek Marloe on the derny was a thing of beauty (Oldmanof) |

The other reason I don't ride in these conditions, I would find it and I would deck it.
The first reason is that I don't like the cold.
8 degrees by Sunday, apparently. _________________ "For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong." H. L. Mencken

even I made it in by bike today without any problems. Base layer + thermal jacket and shorts and winter tights with o/shoes, thick gloves and skull cap under my helmet = perfectly warm _________________ "Veloriders - Sounds like a bunch of soccer holigans still watching reruns of Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter" |

I must admit that this wasnt the week to have discovered I've lost my overshoes, but 2 pairs of socks and mtb shoes has been bearable.
Reckon I'm warmer riding than I would be on the bus.
I'm quite impressed, I'm almost at 20 miles for the year!! _________________

Today will be the first day this year I haven't ridden, including a race (well, timetrial ) win on NY's day.
Unfortunately Sunday, Mon and Tues have all been on the turbo's because it's a mile long walk down the hill on basically sheet ice as far as the main road, and i cba with it. Tomorrow's looking more likely to resume riding to work. |

Rode in today, it wasn't until I got to work that I found out my waterbottle had frozen. In 45 minutes. _________________ Adam
