|
|
Hello all,
About two weeks ago I had to drop out of my first MTB race of the season due to a stiff lower back, it also felt really hot(if that makes sense).
It's still happening now, admitedly I've not done much about it apart from lowering my saddle about 4mm on my roadbike, which made no difference.
Anyway, just planned to go out for two hours (I have done some rides in the mean time since the race - 10hours a week/6 30min commutes) and it kicked in about 10minutes into todays ride, I continued on but eventually headed back home. This problem only occurs while riding.
It's really starting to concern me, as I've not had back problems before.
My symptoms again:
* Lower back ache and stifness - feels more to the right side
* Sort of burning sensation - unsure what this is called!
Any advice please?
Oh, and I'm not going to the doctors as they'll be unable to relate it to my riding I presume, but I can get seen by a physio if needed... |

I had exactly the same thing about a month ago, although mine was attributed to the lifting I was doing at work (not bending knees and all that malarky..)
Was fine after a couple of days though, it just went, so unsure what's happening in your case
Maybe get it checked? _________________ http://www.foresttowntrack.co.uk/ |

Check with your GP first. Get your doctors used to the idea that you are a cyclist and discuss your health in the light of this. Some are hopeless but others are suprisingly good once they realise that cycling is a part of your life and not just a few miles commute. I was lucky to have an ex rower as my GP.
Now despite being wrapped up in thermals I have a cold back. Any suggestions? |

I've found that waiting times at my GPs have reduced considerably for people with a bit of common sense. My GP thinks its down to the internet _________________ World Masters Drive HillClimb For Taureans Category C Champion 2013.

I went through this last week - although due to lifting, not riding. Ibuprofen + hot baths. Don't slouch forward at your desk, and some mtfu seemed to work. _________________ www.kentonrc.co.uk |
