Personally I find the idea of going out and doing hill intervals mentally a bit much. If I think I need to work on my climbing I find a route which includes some nasty hills, and just 'ave it on them. That way you get the intervals as part of the ride, without having it in your head you are doing an 'interval' session. I think if I went out with the idea that I would be riding up and down a hill as part of a 'session' I wouldn't be mentally up for it. |
Sounds like you need to MTFU. |
Au contraire, rather than fannying about with a stopwatch and riding up and down the same hill 10 times like a mental patient, I go out and 'ave it up some REAL climbs.
Intervals are for poofs and women. _________________ Have you got any Triple Sod? Yellow Bentines? What about some Clarky Cat? |

Well I don't do hill intervals so that's your theory shot to pieces. _________________ Have you got any Triple Sod? Yellow Bentines? What about some Clarky Cat? |

You do; you just fanny about and call it something else! _________________ John McClelland's victory in the motor paced event with Derek Marloe on the derny was a thing of beauty (Oldmanof) |

Unless I get out to the Chiltens, I've no choice but to use Harrow or Wakemans Hills for intervals on the way home for work.
Racing at Hog Hill is a good substitute though. _________________ www.kentonrc.co.uk |
