It would be great if he could make it four, but I feel that last year was an indian summer for his career, and he is set to follow the same path as Zabel, just picking up the odd win here or there when the faster younger guys aren't ridng. |
Different kind of rider to Zabel, smarter IMHO, and more capable of getting over hills. |
I thought Zabel was generally thought to be a most astute rider? And as a multiple MSR winner and more significantly TdF green jersey he could climb as well as needed for a sprinter.
I like 'em both, but Friere seems to be one who can bounce back from illness/injury better than most people. |
Tell me which is the most astute...

One example, that we all know about, doesn't mean Zabel was always a meathead. Would Cav credit an idiot as being the brains behind this year's MSR? |

Its Friere by a long mile for me. Long established rider - had health problems solved em came back and wins races with panache + the obligatory dopage. _________________ Imagination is the war against reality.... |

Friere will win it with a late lunge. _________________ "Well done, you are 100% absolutely without a shadow of a doubt spot-bollock-on correct." - Tucker

Neither comparative nor superlative are tenses, they are adjectival forms

I think you mean comparative degree rather than the superlative. Sorry to have to out-pedant you.

Despite underhand attempts at sabotage, I think Oscar can claim a well deserved victory! _________________ "Well done, you are 100% absolutely without a shadow of a doubt spot-bollock-on correct." - Tucker

Both good riders but if I had to go for one it would be Freire.I particularly appreciate his views on training. |
