That was a mountain TT though that you link to . So understandably a few of them rode road bikes.
If you were referring to the final TT over the greasy cobbles where Menchov fell off, then I think some went for roadbikes for the handling on the slippery roads.

To succeed, it required not just superlative form to tackle the climbs of Bracco and Termine, that together amounted to more than 1,100 metres' elevation, but an equal dose of nail-biting descending that would have burned through those rubber brake blocks that differentiate between life and death, finesse as well.
Thursday in Cinque Terre, Menchov had both in spades.

A mountain TT is in common parlance riding from the bottom to the top of a mountain. A 61km TT which goes up a few climbs is a hilly TT. Fact. |
Not in the UK it's not, where the Blenheim race is. Check out the Teesdale 40.5 MTT or the Tyneside Vagabonds 47 mile MTT both in the north of England. Both are mountain time trials, neither go from bottom to top. In fact in UK parlance, we call those type of events hillclimbs. FACT. |

You can't contradict a "fact" with another "fact", that negates the whole point of "fact", FACT! |

Sure I can, and I did.
Let's leave this whole debate with the obvious fact that the Blenheim TT should be ridden on a TT bike.
Now, no more Mr Tucker! |

Oh, I wouldn't dispute that.
I can't even remember what the original disagreement was.
However, you do need to be careful with facting contradictions to previously facted statements. Although modern science hasn't fully recognised it yet, this is actually how black holes are formed.

I asked if I should ride the Blemhiem TT on a TT setup or road setup.
I will ride a TT setup - that is all.
Special thanks go out to pNut for his help. _________________ You can't polish a turd |

Right - clearly you know that I failed to finish at least one race. This means that, in a limited fashion, you have been following my progress. You admit would like to idolise hippies more than something you already do by choice - ergo, you are a hippie-lover.
Suck it long and hard, hippie lover. |

Absolutely correct.
Ah, I see PNut is abusing his power by editting my posts. Still, if I was a bin man I'd probably do it too. |
