rode a hill climb saturday. When finished felt really dodgy. Now i have fever without any real symptoms e.g. no sickness sore throat or cold. Not sure if i was ill before and didn't know it, or the hill climb made me ill. _________________ First came Monday - rest day, then Tuesday - training, then Wednesday - recovery ride, then Thursday - training race, then Friday - track or recovery ride, Saturday - mystery tour with cafe stop, Sunday - is meant for racing! |

The best place to get medical issues sorted out is on an internet forum. Give us some more symptoms and I'll rustle up a diagnosis. _________________ World Masters Drive HillClimb For Taureans Category C Champion 2013.

I reckon doing a hill climb will let you know if you're not 100%. |

decided not to use the tap, just set speed targets and rest points. In training i averaged 417w at 186bpm with a time of 17:38. On race day i got 17:24, 1.5 secs behind 3rd place. Since getting ill i've had to see a *CENSORED* about my heart. Apparently it's bigger than normal and there's something else not right. Also told i have high blood pressure. No infection or disease though, yipee! _________________ First came Monday - rest day, then Tuesday - training, then Wednesday - recovery ride, then Thursday - training race, then Friday - track or recovery ride, Saturday - mystery tour with cafe stop, Sunday - is meant for racing! |

Left or right? Atria or ventricals? Hypertrophic or dilated? Odds on it it just a remodelling of the left ventrical due to the volume and intensity of your exercise regime hopefully.
The other issue - Type 1 heart block possibly? Common in young adults or athletes. _________________ www.kentonrc.co.uk |

Got the all clear today after an MRT, well happy. My heart is big but only what is expecetd from a sports person. There was inflamation which the *CENSORED* said would have been the begining of an infection. After resting it went away rapid. Blood pressure is high, boarderline for *CENSORED*, just need to watch it.
Little bit scary how something potentially so serious could have developed without feeling dodgy. Lucky lesson learnt. _________________ First came Monday - rest day, then Tuesday - training, then Wednesday - recovery ride, then Thursday - training race, then Friday - track or recovery ride, Saturday - mystery tour with cafe stop, Sunday - is meant for racing! |
