There is a place in Burton-on-Trent, CJ Ward, on route to Queens Hospital. They did a great powder coat on my mtb, was £20.

Powder coat is Solid.

Didn't notice any difference in the weight, and it defiantly won't scratch! The quality of paint work on some bikes now is shocking.

Tucker had a frame resprayed by a bloke called Vaz in London as I recall.

It must have been an absolutely awesome job because we never stopped talking about it for months thereafter on the other forum...

Maybe Vaz is better than in the 1990s when I and a few others I know used them. In those days the Vaz re-spray was cheap, basic and sometimes nasty!

I have an old frame that needs a new paint job, I'm hoping to build it up a budget fixed winter bike.
Does anyone know of any local companies that will shot blast it and repaint it fairly cheaply?

As I recall they sprayed his headset into the frame. So probably not. Laughing
