I've a plan to complete the Birkebeiner XC ski Race in Norway in March. It's major event over there with 15000 racers !

Only snag is up until last weekend I'd never cross country skied before !

Anyone done much XC skiing? I know Sean Kelly and PDM did some as winter training and Eddie BH comes from a XC ski background.

Rather you than me!
Missus rented a set up last time we went snow boarding, and after a 10 year break managed to get from the rental place to the bottom of the first rise before giving up.

She was gone an hour, covered 3km.............

ha ha - sounds epic !

well I've 54km to cover so fingers crossed. I can tell you that double poling into a headwind down Blackpool prom is pretty grim - and there are no bars to chew on !!!

Thanks - yeah Norway is a fab place in my book. There in few weeks for some on snow training.
