The GB olympic strip is bland, and when you look at the track team on their all black bikes, they look like some early 80's eastern block team.
More flashy colour please |
You mean like that lovely shade of vomit green from a few years ago? |
No i mean a little more imagination than 'like a strip from a few years ago'.
Black carbon is getting boring again too. |
Yeah good point, maybe some white carbon would go down well?
I'm not too keen on the pink tubs myself. Does anyone know why they are pink? _________________ "Well done, you are 100% absolutely without a shadow of a doubt spot-bollock-on correct." - Tucker

Pink tubs are probably a very small batch of very exotic stuff, like Dugasts. And there something every one has to have as they apear on some other countries bikes. _________________ Teamwork equals Dreamwork |

am i the only one to think that the olympic strip looks a bit like City of Edinburgh colours (and also a bit french), with the white middle and stripey bits up the outside? i have to say it's not the best effort by adidas and yes, the BC national design is nicer. |

We are presumably using different suppliers for these Union Jack design jerseys as at the World Championships the team pursuit team did not have quite the same design, at least in proportions, for all four riders. A small but important point at this level. My Australian friend spotted it before I did and was able to make the appropriate mickey taking remark. |
I spotted that too - it looke dlike some were Impsport version and others were Nike. Has the Nike deal finished then?
As for the Olympic team kit - what makes it quite bad is the fact that the white panel on the front is not replicated on the back - it's just a plain blue, which makes it more difficult to spot

Aren't they using this super aero skinsuit, that you can't wash or all the colours wash out. Craig and Chris had them made for the commie games by impsport some sort of fancy lycra.
Nothing wrong with the CoERC strip _________________ When offered the choice between the path of Desire and the path of Virtue I chose the path marked Diversion.

The East German grey skinsuits of that era are the benchmark for team pursuit squad kits - classic! (Can't find a pic, tho'...) _________________ ... |

Yeah I know that but why are they pink? Do Dugast think that pink is cool or something? _________________ "Well done, you are 100% absolutely without a shadow of a doubt spot-bollock-on correct." - Tucker

The logo appearing on the Olympic kit is that of the "official" sponsor. If you notice in nearly all cases of an athlete, which includes cyclists have sponsorship deals with other trade names, that logo is taped over.
Few equipment suppliers actually manufacture the goods and this is the case with the Olympics. |

I think you are allowed some logos of your teams sponsor, but it was limited to two. Riders have had to tape up extra logos on skinsuits, glasses, helmets etc. _________________ When offered the choice between the path of Desire and the path of Virtue I chose the path marked Diversion.

I don't like the Team GB Olympic strip, the usual strip (red, white and blue with Great Britain across the front) is alot better. _________________ Gibbo.
