having your oats before your ride is good as long as you don't drop off to sleep then go out _________________ www.mastercoach.co.uk

*CENSORED* to take instead of long training rides or *CENSORED* to take for long training rides? _________________ www.mastercoach.co.uk

Water for the first hour, energy drink for the 2nd hour, then solid food for the third+, and what ever liquid is left.
Read it in Boardmans book, your body needs suger to burn body fat. This starts to happen around the hour mark.
Dont have breakfast if your riding in the morning.. As it is the breakfast that your body burns off before starting on your body fat.
Works for me!
Riding on just water is productive on long rides! _________________ 73 |

Have black coffee instead of breakfast as it has catabolic qualities. _________________ 'What's up with her? I been hearing that she's been giving that stuff out to all them grafitti guys!' ' Yo, shut the  up, Chico, man!' 'I'd paint 3 of those murals for some of that ass....' |

A large bottle of PSP22 (100g Carb or 400 Calories) for rides up to 2 hours or two bottles for longer rides. I like to have a banana, energy bar, Fig biscuit or cereal bar in my pocket to munch on in between the fluid.
Post ride I re-hydrate with weak carb drink, have a quick shower and then go for a protein carb drink to start the muscles recovering. First two hours most important following training _________________ You can't polish a turd |

Can't believe no one else shoves a pie in their back pocket when riding. The food of champions, I think it was Kelly who said,"Pork pies are what you want, I couldn't of won Milan San Remo without them".
Or it might of been someone else. _________________ "Well done, you are 100% absolutely without a shadow of a doubt spot-bollock-on correct." - Tucker

I don't have a shower - I prefer a nice hot lay _________________ 'What's up with her? I been hearing that she's been giving that stuff out to all them grafitti guys!' ' Yo, shut the  up, Chico, man!' 'I'd paint 3 of those murals for some of that ass....' |

You take an energy drink on sub 2hr rides? I am not someone who can run all day on a fig roll, but I wouldn't take anything other than water on a ride under 2hrs. |

Here we go, "I remember the days when we would do 100 miles on a cheese sandwich", shame you can't do more than 30 without a Burger King stop now. |
