Say for some stupid reason CAS reduce Millars ban down to 1 Year, and after the BCF have used upto 1 pound of your money to defend their initial decision to ban. Should David Millar be allowed to work in the BCF to help children in sport after taking them (the BCF) for £16,000? him for two years. |

the whole millar thing is getting stale now
child murderers get an easier time than him
he's done the crime ( & confessed )
he's done the time
& applied for time off for good behaviour...so be it
lets hope he's learned his lesson & comes back a better ( clean ) rider

He should be the best exponent of a clean healthy *CENSORED* free sport having been caught red-handed.
Not sure if he has that mentality though. _________________ "and now its time to meet the modern day Merlin" - Derek Acorahs warm up man.

Yes...
Think it would be a great idea. Let him help educate the youngsters on what not to do.
On the other hand we could just let them try doping and find out themselves??????? |

Isn't the point that he wasn't caught 'red handed', but confessed even though there was no real evidence? |

have you seen the Yes Minister episode where Jim Hacker and Bernard (I think) talk about manipulating surveys about National Service? this question clearly expects the answer "no". |

What's the betting that if he "wins" he'll pay costs for the BCF, and if he loses he won't? _________________

Fair enough if he does, if he wins then it means a greater source of income for him so he would be more likely to pay up, if he loses won't he be made to pay expenses anyway? And hes well within his rights to appeal, and appears to have reasonable grounds considering the ban given to Virenque was of only 6 months. For what its worth, in answer to the original question yes, who better? |

The expenses are the court costs only - NOT the cost incurred by the BCF. That will total a few hundred pounds at most, and he has had to pay an appeal fee anyway.

I don't see why kids should lose out because of some other unrelated issue. _________________ Jon Hunt

What's kids got to do with it, Jon? Most (all?) of the money for the Go-Ride and similar schemes are ringfenced from grants by UK Sport, etc. Not BC coffers.
