Ayup
Just wondering where might be a good place nearby to actually see some road bikes in the flesh.
I'm just getting back into cycling 'properly' after a while off and I've lost track of things.
Cheers

Depends where in Notts you are...
In the city, try Langdale at Mapperley for some eye-candy stuff, though check ahead as opening hours of might be odd (hear there's some bad illness in the family).
Up Mansfield way, slip over the border into the badlands of Chesterfield and take a look at James - good stock and people ain't too bad in there _________________ "If you build it they will come" |

or if you can get over to Derby, samways usually has a good range (starts at about £150 and tops out at about £4000)
Got Mercians over there too, worth a look. |

Cheers chaps, that's just what I was looking for.
My local bike shop is Sid's in Beeston, and Kev in there is a good bloke but they don't have much to dribble over. |

Now we would be seriuosly worried if you were to dribble over Kev, evenm if he paid you .
You could try Tris and Rob at Long Eaton Cycle Centre. They are local.

If you end up buying in Samways you get a discount for club membership - think it's 5% off bikes and 10% off everything else. BC/CTC membership counts. |

Long Eaton cycle centre, are great, they'll look after match mail order prices and wont complain to suppliers about them sponsoring teams , instead they support all riders wherever possible and are passionate about cycling.

Probikes is a great shop where you can spend your hard earned cash or just spend time chatting to scott, if you can find space amongst the bikes & bits ! Always had great service and well informed advice. |
