Schleck - isn't it amazing how good he's being in his first ever Grand Tour? He seems like a modern day version of Greg Lemond - close to going to finish on the podium of his first ever Grand Tour
plus he's a skinny git which always makes me warm to him _________________ The internet is possibly the greatest bitch fest on earth. Expect anything than relentless ridicule for no good reason and your expectations are set way too high |

Rich, of that list which ones aren't skinny
I have to go with Simoni, Di Luca put in a lot of effort yesterday.
Dave Z? I keep hearing that he is in the Giro, but have yet to actually see him. |

What was that phrase that Delgado used about guys with 'arses the size of a cows, climbing like aeroplanes' or summat? Like that Guttierez Catalunya in last years Giro.

I sincerely hope so. I've voted for Di Luca though -- it's not that steep a climb, and he's in astounding form with confidence through the roof.
I wish Cunego would find his form and give everyone a good kicking in the final week. But it's not going to happen |

The climb in the TT today is the one where Pantani overtook everyone to win in '99 after stopping with a mechanical just before the start of the climb. Also where Ugrumov had Big Mig on the ropes in '93. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=Matteomjb |

ummm, in light of what we know about the Giro in 1999 and Pantani and the team of Ugrumov in 1994, it's not got the greatest of reputations then? _________________ The internet is possibly the greatest bitch fest on earth. Pantani was rested in the 1999 Giro because he was found to have a haematocrit level of over 50% - not exactly ground breaking news is it? _________________ The internet is possibly the greatest bitch fest on earth. Yeh Pantani,
Managed to upset both Indurain and Armstrong - one because he wouldn't gift him a stage that he hadn't worked for, and the other because he did _________________ www.kentonrc.co.uk |
