East Mids section.

Please excuse my ignorance, but why is there a separate East Mids section? I'm happy that there is, as I live out this way and it makes things easier, but it just seems a bit odd.

Also, can I enter any region's champs or am I confined to the one I live in? I've noticed the East mids champs is one race with no Cat 3/4 supporting race so thought this might make it difficult for me to pick up points. I'm new to this so any advice is appreciated, thanks.

I believe - and someone please correct me if I'm wrong..... that the East Mids Division pay Veloriders to have this section and that it was agreed at the Regional Mandate Meeting (or something similar) that this was a beneficial thing to do.

Re the Divs Road Race - you have to enter the race for the region you live in. For example I live in Nottinghmashire but ride for a Sheffield Club, so would have to ride East Mids as opposed to Yorkshire Div Champs.

Also - the whole purpose of the divs is to find the best rider in the divison on that day so IMHO there should only be one race.
