Mr Hill - your saddle is too high mate.
And where is the "wide load" sign to warn other road users of a dangerous vehicle |

Quite an advantage in the freewheeling contest after.
(Are you allowed to use a parachute to assist the brakes?) |

Sincere apologies gang - i had to ride out on my jack jones into a head wind at speed to get there in time.
I had some family stuff to sort out before I left and it held me up. Meant I had to put the gas on and I felt empty for the race....
Oh well ... I'll let Hodge bask in his glory....

Didn't look empty in the pics.
I voted for Hodge, but that was today - I didn't notice the date of the event. Still was pleased with my late predictiction when I got to page 2. _________________ www.kentonrc.co.uk |

Rich, I can understand your disappointment, though 16 secs is a bit of a mullering. This is the top 6 from the open HC race I did yesterday:
No Rider Club Time Notes Time
1 PAUL MURPHY TYNESIDE VAGABONDS 4 .05
2 BEN LANE V C AZZURRI 4 .06
3 MICHAEL MALLEN G S METRO 4 .10
4 ANDREAS WOLFF FERRYHILL WHEELERS 4 .13
5 ROB GRAHAM LOTTO OLYMPIA TEAM 4 .24
6 MARTIN FEENEY DERWENTSIDE C.C. 4 .27
One second. GRRRR. |

It is when the event is barely over 2mins 2m07 against 2m23s.
Mind you, it's just a pair of aging, sad crystalcranking chippers arguing over who's best when we were both whipped by the winner in 1m41s _________________ "Veloriders - Sounds like a bunch of soccer holigans still watching reruns of Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter" |

In fairness mate, as you have the build of a pipecleaner, and Hill, well is more generously apportioned, basking in the glory of beating him in a hillclimb is a bit like someone saying that they beat me when boasting about their plamares!!!! _________________

<<<<<<<<<<<<<Last time I raced a bike was last October at a cross
For the past 10+ weeks I've done only running training
Hill is a previous hill climb champion on this climb
Hill started this thread / charade
He's won at least 6 road races and has a powertap don't ya know?
He rides his bike to work through London every day apparently
I think Hill needs to learn a bit of humility _________________ "Veloriders - Sounds like a bunch of soccer holigans still watching reruns of Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter" |

Guess so, especially after crowing on here about being King of the 3rd Cats in the West Midlands. Perhaps this could be the kick up the harris he needs to get himself back in shape? _________________ "Veloriders - Sounds like a bunch of soccer holigans still watching reruns of Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter" |

Not completely impossible - even Ive won a couple of H/C's in the past. Mind that was a few years ago. And a bit of weight too. |

He is actually 5 years younger than me, he is just 32 though has been on the race scene for a number of years, was Div champ a few yrs back. He is also 3 times winner of this event.
Climb was on Ladypark (out of Lamesley). Open HC, promoted by Sunderland Clarion.
The circus moves on to Peth Bank this weekend, then a double header of Otley 2 stage and Carlton bank the weekend of the 7th. Hopefully I can bag a win on Peth Bank. |
